Who am I and why should you listen to me?
My name is Niro Thambipillay, and I bought my first investment property back in 2002. At the time, even though I lived in Sydney (I still do), I decided to buy my first property in a regional town in a completely different state.
Most people thought I was crazy and that I’d lost my marbles.
Yet they were stunned to see that…
18 months later I doubled money

There were 22 interest rate rises and yet, many areas boomed
For example, median house prices in Bendigo in Victoria rose 83%

And so, I became obsessed…

I remember, when I bought up big in Sydney in late 2011, in anticipation of this upcoming boom, people told me I was crazy. That Sydney and Melbourne were too expensive and that prices would crash.In fact, one so called “guru” told me that I was really dumb and that I should buy cheap property in mining towns instead.

Well, our two biggest markets had their biggest price booms prior to the recent Covid boom
